What's to be said about DotA 2? Except it's going to revolutionize the way that MMORPG games are viewed and played. Defense of the Ancients 2 (DotA 2) is the sequel that's been long awaited from the original Defense of the Ancients which was an add-on to Warcraft III based on the Aeon of Strife map for Stracraft, The game has quickly became popular and a cult following of its own has emerged. Over the years DotA has separated the casual gamer from the more involved. DotA may be just an add-on but the gameplay is not for the faint of heart and the competition is indeed no joke. Valve, one of the largest makers of computer games, announced a one million dollar tournament to kick off the beta release of DotA 2.
DotA 2 is exciting to all of us because we believe this is going
to be the game that breaks out the MMORPG scene to those that knowlittle about
it or never cared in the first place. It’s been a while since a game of this
caliber has seen so much hype but if any game is going to make players cross
over it would be DotA 2. Heroes, gold, mining, and click rate are all going to
be part of the leisurely gamers vocabulary if indeed the hopes we have for this
game are fulfilled.
It's been nine
years since the first DotA was released and now with the to be announced
release date of DotA 2 there is much unrest. It’s common knowledge
the game is due out at some point this year and there have been thousands of
Beta Keys released to the public. Without an official release date and a
limited number of Betas this game is quickly becoming an internet
sensation. Searches for DotA 2 strategy, walkthrough and tips are on
the rise and more and more information is being leaked.
